BIOGRAPHY

This photo is taken from "Christmas in the Forties", a dinner show I did while studying @ Bloomsburg Unversity, Pennsylvania

My wonderful wife Carolyn created a ongoing scrapbook of my performing life and the photos tell quite a story. They tell me I always knew what it was I was supposed to do with my life. Great teachers like the late Debbie Hunter, my high school voice teacher and my college mentor Dr. Wendy Miller shared with me many tools I use to this day. In adulthood I had the privilige to work with so many wonderful theatre professionals, who taught me so much about acting, directing, producing and the business of theatre..

Now as a middle-aged man I use the positive lessons I've learned to hone my craft. But I am still learning.  As a director I never fail to learn something knew from the actors I work with.  As an actor too, I am amazed how much I learn from fellow cast mates. And as a writer I am humbled by the elusive words that shape characters and create stories.  At the end of the scrapbook there is the famous Polonius quote,"This above all-to thine own self be true.” Truer words have never been spoken. Drama is what I do, it's all I do, and as long as I am able, I will continue to do.
